WRITING: A DESCRIPTION OF A WORK OF ART
When we describe something ,we want to give the reader a good idea of what it looks like. When we describe a work of art we also want to describe its style and the mood that it portrays, as well as express our opinion.
1.Before you write :
-choose a work of art from " my father´s paintings" and write an essay (150-200 words) using the page 68 ( student´s book) to organise your ideas . Remember :
-Paragraph 1: Introduce the work of art. Include its name and the date it was created.
Describe the style, and the objects or people in it.
-Paragraph 2: Give more details about the painting ( shapes and colours)...
-Paragraph 3. Write what you think the artist was trying to express. Give your opinion.
2.Use the correct adjective order : opinion-size-age-shape-colour
The object of this new project about the anglo-saxon world is to help you understand more about the language and the environment of English. We will be using modern methods of communication.
I am sure you won't have any problem using computer technology. By using this blog and giving your opinions, you can learn English in an interactive and fun way.
You can take part writing in English, because this blog is a simple extension of what you are learning in class.
Give it a try and let me know what you think. Good luck!
