1. Playing sports is fun. It gives your child something to do and a group to belong to. They have a group of friends that has the same goals and interests.
2. Research has found that kids that play sports, especially girls, are more likely to have a positive body image and higher self-esteem. They also are less likely to be overweight.
3. Kids involved in sports are less likely to take drugs or smoke because they realize the impact that these destructive activities can have upon their performance. Girls who play sports are also less likely to become pregnant.
4. Physical activities are a good way to relieve stress and reduce depression.
5. Sports help kids develop discipline. They learn to set goals and then work to achieve those goals. They learn that by working hard they can accomplish the things that they want to in their lives.
6. Kids who play sports quickly learn that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. They learn to be a good sport in both situations. It also helps them learn to deal with disappointment and go on.
7. Statistics show that kids who are involved in sports while in high school are more likely to experience academic success and graduate from high school.
8. Sports help develop teamwork and leadership skills. Kids quickly learn that they have to work together as a team to win the game.
9. Motor skills, strategic thinking, and even math skills are learned by playing sports. Students develop strategic thinking as they figure out plays and the best way to get around a player or score a goal. Math skills are used as they calculate scores and stats.
10. Regular exercise increases quality of life. Children who exercise are more likely to continue the practice into adulthood.

I don't think they all are true. I'm not saying the benefits are false, just I disagree with some of them.I need proofs, I need people I know to prove it is true. I don't believe so much in statistics!

ReplyDeleteI'm not agree with all the benefits of sport. Some of them are true but there are others that say things that don't make any sense for me. Anyway I like sportt and I' ll continue practising it.

I think this is true, because we can look around us and see it. I like sport and i do it. Do exercise is good to be health and to be more likely to have a positive body image and higher self-esteem.
ReplyDeleteI think all teh beefits are true. About if sports help develop teamwork and leadership skills, I don't belive it so much. That benefit is only be able to achieve with sports teams, no with individual sports.

I think all benefits are true but I like more the 5th and 6th because it´s a real condition, it happens when you are a kid and you do sports.

I'm no agree with all the benefits, some are true for me but the other completely false because I think they are wrong. I think that sport is good for health and to be comfortable with yourself and i like to practice it.

Playing a sport when you are a child is very important, because you can get in shape as well as meet other people.
Doing exercise can be funny and useful because you can have a good time doing a sport and you can also achieve your goals.

In my opinion, the sport is one of the healthiest things out there, is healthy, it helps to be fit, you have a good doing it. I do sport several days a week.The sport often makes all your problems go away, is a way to get away for a bit of trouble.

The best way to be in shape, I think is begin to do exercise from we are children, by the reason which is mentioned here, we can meet new child and learn how difficult is achieve our own goals.
In addition, physical activities can relax and it can help us to see us more atractives.
Always there are people who is very lazy but we can convince them with a little effor.
